Hamburger Hochbahn
A new digital wayfinding system
To push ahead with the mobility change, Hamburg is building a new subway line, the U5. It is 24 kilometers long, connects East and West Hamburg, and is expected to transport up to 300,000 passengers a day from 2028.
Part of the major project is also a new and digital passenger information system. Since 2020, Hamburger Hochbahn has been working on a concept with the design consultancy Edenspiekermann. During my traineeship I worked
on the project.
